It’s been another exciting and challenging year for us here at Angel Cat Pet Adoptions! We are happy to report that with the help of you, our faithful supporters, our wonderful vet partners and our friends at Petco, we’ve been able to successfully rehome over 75 cats and kittens and assist many others with spay/neuter and vet care services. It’s certainly kept our little rescue group busy and the rewards are great! We love each and every one of the furbabies we’ve fostered or helped to have safe, healthy lives in new homes and we are grateful to have been given the opportunity to know them and the new families they are now a part of.

Happy Holiday Greetings to our Angel parents and friends!

As we come to the close of our second year, we at Angel Cat Pet Adoptions want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our wonderful past adoptive parents and our new friends, without whose support we certainly would not be here today.

Because of you, we have been able to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home 92 cats and kittens.  Thanks to your generous support, we have been privileged to provide many others with much needed veterinary care, spay and neuter surgeries, and even just food to eat.

Dear Angel Parents and Friends

As we move into Spring, and we are blessed with this wonderful season of renewal and rebirth, we are ever grateful to have seen so many of our foster fur kids grow up and move to their forever homes over these last months.

We are particularly happy to report that our little Megan, whom many of you may remember from the article in the OC Register in the fall of 2010, was adopted by a wonderful lady just before Christmas.  That article featured Megan, her brother Eli and Kohl.

It’s SPRING again!  The birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, the days are longer and spring is in the air!
It’s a wonderful time of year filled with new beginnings and fresh starts.

For some of us in animal rescue, Spring is also a time of apprehension, well knowing how many new litters of kittens will come our way and need our help.  If only we could wave a magic wand so all the cats needing spay and neuter were taken care of, so many unwanted litters would not be born outside to feral mom cats, so many would not end up euthanized in shelters.  So, instead, Angel Cat helps cats and their guardians on a case by case basis, helping anyone who asks for it to get their cat spayed or neutered.

As we come to the end of another year, we like to let you all know what we've been up to since our last update letter.  It's certainly been a busy Spring and Summer for our Angel Cat rescue group!

We've officially been a non-profit animal rescue group for 5 (yes, FIVE) years now!   I've tried to keep count of all the cats and kittens (and even a few pups) we've rescued, provided vet care for and then adopted to loving fur-ever homes, and it's just over 300 now that have passed through our foster homes and on to their own.

First Paragraph:

It's the spring of a New Year and all of our rescue cats waiting for furrever homes are full of the hope and anticipation that Spring brings!  Angel Cats had a flurry of adoptions last fall which is great because we had an influx of fall kittens we hadn't planned on!  Some of them never even made it to our Petfinder.com page, they graced us with their kitten cuteness for only a month or so.  Brothers Donny and Casey were adopted together, ruth, Trooper and Rusty all found new families from adoption events at our petco store in Westminster and that's just to name a few!

Dear Angel Parents and Friends,

Spring is here! We had such a warm February here in Orange County that kittens are already being born. That makes for a busy rescue season for sure! We are definitely gearing up! Kittens have a pretty small adoption window for those looking to add a new bundle of kitten energy to their home. Once they reach about a year old and are teenagers, their chances diminish and even though they are still young, they are often overlooked for the cute babies. Of course, we think cats and kittens of any age are awesome. As I've grown older, I appreciate a nice laid back adult cat to cuddle!

We helped adopt so many kittens and cats this year!  We are abot to spay/neuter 24 or so cats for people in our commuinty with the help of a small Petco Foundation grant that we received in the spring and thanks to all our wonderful supporter's donations.  Besides the spay/neuter, each of those cats also were brought current with vaccinations.  It takes a village and I'm so grateful and proud to live in our village!

First, I want to let you know how thankful and grateful we are for all of you who support our work helping to save abandoned and lost cats and kittens and find them new homes.  We truly could not keep this up without all of your generous donations and kind notes and letters cheering us on and helping us to not give up.  Fund raising is one of the most difficult parts of being a 501c3 non profit animal rescue, we get zero help from any government agencies, just all of you and sometimes the Petco Foundation.  So, YOU are all very, very, important to us!

Dear Angel Parents and Friends,

As we come to a close of another year, I can't help but wonder at how quickly the time goes by!  We've had cats come into adoption, go to their furrever homes, new cats join our feral colonies (thankfully no kittens born because we spay/neuter as soon as they arrive) what a whirlwind!  We've truly places hundreds of cats and kittens in new homes and it's only because of the support of all of you, our "Angel Cat" family, that we have been able to do so.  I can't thank you all enough - you enable us to do this work for these wonderful little souls

Dear Angel Parents and Friends,

What an amazing and busy year we have had with rescues, bottle babies, foster cats and everything in between!

This year has been a particularly busy year with litters of kittens, keeping all the local rescue groups busy.  I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as "kitten season" any more, at least not in our neighborhoods and not with the warmer than usual seasons we have here in Southern California.  We are so fortunate to have some retired volunteers who are expert bottle feeders and they really had their work cut out for them this past year.

Dear Angel Parents and Friends,

As we close this year 2016, it is with a grateful heart that we have been blessed to help so many cats and kittens.

This past summer was a prolific kitten year, it seema like we got calls every day to take kittens born outside, kittens that needed bottle feeding, kittens, kittens, and more kittens!  We did our share, we are fortunate to have a wonderful retired volunteer who is an expert bottle feeder!  Thankfully these babies are all adopted.  But boy, it sure is a drain on our financial resources.  Each kitten gets dewormed (twice), FelV & FIV testing, 3 sets of shots, 1 rabies shot, a microchip, spay/neutered surgery - some litters have 5 or 6 kittens each!

Dear Angel Parents and Friends,

Spring has sprung!   It's already promising to be a busy year for rescue groups!  We sure have had lots of things happening these past few months ...

We trapped and spayed/netuered 8 feral cats this past month from a mobile home park in Santa Ana where one of our Angels cares for and feeds a colony.  We even managed to trap an oppossum by accident!  All those cats are now unable to add to the overpopulation that exists in so many neighborhoods.  It is just so important to keep up this work, we will always try to help anyone who asks to further that end.

Hello Angel Cat Friends, Parents and Supporters!

Spring has sprung, and not in such a good way!  As I sit here writing what I always want to be a cheery and upbeat newsletter, it’s shadowed by the uncertainty and worry we are all feeling right now about the COVID-19 virus.  I know we will get past it but right now my company is closed for a few weeks, as I’m sure many of yours are.  I do believe it’s the only thing to do to curb the severity and ebb the tide.
